Well, I think the answer is easy, but you won't like it... First: There is no excuse for the way they handle your questions. And then: Nordic produces two 2.4GHZ transceiver chips: One with (nRF24E1) and one without (nRF2401) embedded microcontroller. For the chip with embedded microcontroller (a 8051) a design is available from the nordic site to implement a wireless voice/data (hand)set. Laipac, probably, mixed things up. Selling a module containing the nRF2401 while advertising features that are only valid when using a nRF24E1 (or adding a micro by yourself). I guess your email made them aware of this. And last: I'm not affiliated or connected with Nordic in any way. I just like their chips...
