Hi Lindy This will give you the level of signal(ie how strong it is) but will not solve the frequency problem, it will receive any IR signal so it could be the one you are sending or it could be let's say your TV remote control. I can do this in analogue but I wanted to use a Pic to do it. check this link, this may suit you. http://homepage.ntlworld.com/mbradley49/electronics/golf_project.html Thanks best regards Luis -----Original Message----- From: Lindy Mayfield [mailto:Lindy.Mayfield@EUR.SAS.COM] Sent: 28 May 2004 13:13 To: PICLIST@mitvma.mit.edu Subject: Re: ] detecting an IR signal Please don't put much stock in any answer that I may give because I am new, but I've been playing with LED things lately... Would something like this be what you were looking for? http://www.taosinc.com/product_detail.asp?cateid=20&proid=10 Oh, btw, if it is not, please tell me cause I was trying something similar. I will have three to four different detectors and I need to see which one is receiving the stronger signal. In short I need to see if I am receiving the frequency and also see the level of signal being received. how can I do that ? best regards Luis -- http://www.piclist.com hint: The PICList is archived three different ways.
