Harold, "I, Cringely" just published this: http://www.pbs.org/cringely/pulpit/pulpit20040527.html It's on the Linksys WRT54G wireless access point which apparently runs Linux in addition to having a wireless access point, router, 4 port 10/100 switch, and runs something like $70 - $100 or so. Cringely goes on to describe it as something quite hackable and capable of running software that will do just what you are asking for. As for me, I know *nothing* of this first hand. YMMV of course.
