I'm using the microEngineeringLabs EPIC programmer.  I've made my own
donggle that connects to the programmer so that I can do ICSP for
PICs.  I've been successful with other PICs, but am having problems with
the 18F452.

Is it temperamental?  Have people had problems with it in the past?
