Here in France, Radiospares (ie RS) has some 2k(256x8) I=B2C SRAM from
Philips, 2.5 to 6 Volts:

PCF8570P    (DIP8) 7.9=80
PCF8570TF5           (SO8)  5.78=80

In NVRAM, 512 bytes by ST:
M41T56M6    2.97=80

This not the cheaper supplier!

I need a little bit more ram than the pic can provide, ie about 10k
bytes.. Is there such a thing as a serial SRAM in this size?
