Hi Guys
I am trying to repair an old unit which uses half duplex serial
communications to communicate with the other unit, it's used as a serial
optic link. this system uses only one fibre as at the time it was built
fibres were very expensive. Now the fibres are cheap so the requirement for
the integrated RX and TX on the same module as disappear and is very hard to
find. I normally use the Agilent HFBR series for single transmission but
because I only have one fibre installed I have to use the same set-up.
I am not looking for a module with all the other electronics as such,
although I will consider it, but what I need is the SMA socket with the
integrated Photodiodes for TX/RX in the same package.
Does any of you seen this anywhere ?
