It's the same reason my microchip no longer ship samples to Australia.
Someone mentioned the free sample program on a forum, to assist another
member of that forum who was a newbie to electronics. Other members of the
forum swamped the sample program, ordering hundreds of chips which they had
no intention of using, and were simply trashing or shelving them as they
arrived. So Microchip pulled the sample program...

Likewise on that same forum, another member ordered 90 copies of a free
Microsoft Windows Server 2003 evaluation DVD because he wanted the free DVD
cases...

I'm reading this thread and it really makes me feel sad. I posted the
original message in this thread in the spirit of letting people know about a
great offer. No company, large or small, *has* to give *anything* away for
free. Imagine how the employees at this company are going to feel when they
read bogus reviews of these training videos. Comments like these just might
ruin it for others, if not for this offer, but perhaps for future offers.
Companies are made of *real* people that put in long hours and work very
hard, and are proud of the work they do.
