The method I use is to break them. I don't know why no one else has discussed this. Got me worried.... I take a knife and score both sides using a metal ruler as a guide. I go about a 1/4 through both sides. Put it in a vise and snap it off. It makes a nice clean cut, but I take some sandpaper to knock off the sharp edges.
