The replacement power adaptor is just too expensive. Since I have a DC adaptor lying around, thought of using it instead. Since I am modifying it, might as well implement some kind of protection just in case I reversed the porality accidentally. > >I recalled it is just a matter of soldering a diode across the +/ - pin. As I am new to electronics, I need some guidiance. Here are the specs; BAD idea. A reversed input will be shorted through the diode. Use a relay, with it's contacts between the PS input and the rest. Connect a diode in series with the coil, to the input power so that correct polarity pulls in the coil and connects the PS and the rest. -- http://www.piclist.com#nomail Going offline?
