Hi Marmite is wonderful stuff. As far as I know, it's been around for over a hundred years, in the same funny little black glass bottle. Basically one of the products that that can be considered a success that's stood the test of time. All the others are recent copies. Now, if if some marketing palooka should decide to use plastic, or change the shape, it should be downhill all the way. It really annoys me when packaging is changed on a product that I really like. Even if it's "better", the physiological association I have with it has been marred, and they didn't even ask me first!!
