it seems to me that it'd be too slow for general use I mean aiming while its around the corner seems rather slow. given your standard team of 4 can clear a room in something like .25 of a second (if they arent paticularly quick) I can see it having a use in larger "street fights" but thats unlikley to happen (itd be mainly usefull for the smaller force which arent the "good guys" right?) -----Original Message----- From: pic microcontroller discussion list [mailto:PICLIST@MITVMA.MIT.EDU]On Behalf Of Bob Bullock Sent: Wednesday, April 28, 2004 6:30 PM To: PICLIST@MITVMA.MIT.EDU Subject: Re: [OT]: New weapon - nice! If indeed it is not suitable in certain situations to use the gun in the 90 degree mode, the operator has the choice not to use it in that mode. I am sure most trained SWAT members would know when it would be an advantage. It is a tool. Like all tools, the user has to know the tool and how to use it. It isn't hard to think of some situation for most tools where it won't perform well, that doesn't mean it isn't useful for the others. This one has the advantage that it can be quickly switched to a more or less conventional form. Edison may have been many things, but not a moron.
