If they won't run the latest WinCE, you might be stuck with a version for which free/cheap development tools are unavailable or non-existant. My first exposure to palmtops was a Mips-based WinCE 1.0 thing that I *WON* at a trade show. I quickly discovered that my development options were slim (and expensive), and that I could (barely) upgrade to wince 2 for a significant pricetag. So it sat on a shelf, and eventually I bought a Palm. (I haven't actually DONE any development for it, mind you, aside from the MIDI hardware interface, but at least the possibility is there ... :-) BillW -- http://www.piclist.com hint: The PICList is archived three different ways.
