PALMOS: developement suite, including simulator, freely downloadable for windos and macos. Lots of online documentation. WinCE (2.0 at the time.) minimum developement kit something like $600. No contest. Sounds like pocketpc has improved, but not enough :-) I also tend to believe that palmos was designed from the start for handhelds, while pocketpc is a misguided attempt to make your palmtop look like your windows desktop. *I* don't want my palmtop to look and work like a windows desktop.
