Generally true, but unfortunately not for the specific type/range of load
cell I'm looking for. I'm looking for a small tension load cell in the
0-2000 lb range. I can get one from TT for ~$250, but the cheapest I see at
Omega in the package I need is ~$600.

It might be worth it, however, to go with Omega, if TT's tech support is
anything like their sales department. I've sent them a couple of emails with
specific information requests, and they still haven't gotten back to me.
