Always good to have such info in ones backpocket :-) It turned out to be one of the starters after all ! weird it worked so fine when i tried it on the other pair of tubes. Tho in the end it failed there too so then i finally knew it was gone. Ok, now I need two new UV-tubes (*cough* slight misstake w the wires ;-) > The starter socket is probably shorted.
