But not 16-18 awg! :-( There are a lot of "industries" that simply throw out an enormous amount of slightly used wire. Consider all the phone and network wiring that goes into setting up the average trade show, for instance... The really sad part is that there are a lot of schools (for instance) that would be more than happy to use such wire (in science or art classes, if nothing else) if thy didn't have to pay inflated "educational supplier" pricing.
