There is nothing in the 12Fxxx chips stopping you to use it as a recevier for IR remote control codes. Just use whatever tools they have. Let me know if you'd like a copy of my 12F675 code, and I'll zip it up and send it over. Note that this is a maybe 80% done project, but the I think that the IR part was more or less running OK. And also, it was written to use Olin Lathrops development environment, so it used his macros where appropriate, but I think you could replace them with your own code...
