One easy hobbyist solution is to find scrap multi-core wire in longer lengths and use the conductors from that. Telephone wire is great for breadboarding (24 awg solid) and the wire in cheap printer or serial cables ($1 flea market specials) generally has 12 to 15 different colors inside. Its cheap and does not take much more than a minute to rip the jacket from a 20 foot cable with a zip knife or box cutter. Takes me even less time - but I've got a specialized cable jacket ripper. dwayne -- Dwayne Reid Trinity Electronics Systems Ltd Edmonton, AB, CANADA (780) 489-3199 voice (780) 487-6397 fax Celebrating 20 years of Engineering Innovation (1984 - 2004) .-. .-. .-. .-. .-. .-. .-. .-. .-. .- `-' `-' `-' `-' `-' `-' `-' `-' `-' Do NOT send unsolicited commercial email to this email address.
