Wire is one of those annoyingly expensive items that is better to "find" than to buy. (Sorta like boxes. Don't you hate it when after carefully minimizing the component costs of your circuit to $4 of semiconductors, it turns out the box costs $7 and the power switch is $2? Sigh.)
