> A point no one has brought up yet: > I can't stand the AVR datasheets. I find them almost unreadable. I was afraid I was the only one. For instance, I know there are some subtle but essential differences between the very primitive AVRs (1200) and the mpre sophisticated ones, but I had a very hard time finding out from the datasheet(s) waht the exact differences are. OTOH I hate the fact that to understand the differences between two PICs I have (in most cases - sometimes there is an upgrade document) to read both 100s-of-pages datasheets and do a line-by-line comparison. There is so much in common, the midrange-reference-manual approach could have been used to reduce the individual datasheet to let's say 50 pages for an 16F877(A).
