A point no one has brought up yet: I can't stand the AVR datasheets. I find them almost unreadable. It's a minor point, but a point none-the-less. And it becomes a much larger point when I am trying to figure out the AVR, so I can use it when I see fit. I also like the concise instruction set on the PIC. Just like TI, though, one of the things that keeps me coming back is that dandy sample program. Pure genius, that.
