I'm sure they have their reasons, I'm just ticked because the project I had in mind REALLY could have used an onboard ADC. Now, did I read the datasheet well enough beforehand? No, but then I didn't think I needed to, a part "this high" on the ladder SHOULD have ADC, standing from 1000 feet away, so I didn't expect it not too. To me an ADC these days is like an UART or a TIMER, it's something that is simply in every higher end chip.
