The ATMega and ATTiny devices are nice, but leadtimes are looking bad, = again. Atmel haven't learned from getting burned because of leadtimes a few years ago, and many people= stick to PICs because they have pretty much always been available in production quantities, because = Microchip understand how important this is. Just go to www.findchips.com and enter a few Atmel = part numbers, then some PIC ones to see what I mean.... =46or an awful lot of applications, you could use either, and issues like= availability and pricing are the most important parameters.
