>I'm tempted to design it back out, but it's a REALLY NICE PART! And, I >can't find a replacement. I'm really cramped for board space. On the >prototype, I'm going to put in some voltage dividers for 5V to 3V and a >diode and pull-up to try to get the 3V to drive a PIC 5V input. The MAX >part has 4 3V to 5V translators and 4 5V to 3V translators in a very small >20 pin package. I don't see that anyone else is making anything like it >(at least I have not found it yet, which is why I'm asking the list!). Shucks for a 6 month lead time, I would seriously look at using the Philips recommended method of level shifting I2C lines. Check out the I2C document at http://www.semiconductors.philips.com/acrobat/literature/9398/39340011.pdf for details. -- http://www.piclist.com hint: To leave the PICList mailto:piclist-unsubscribe-request@mitvma.mit.edu
