As I've mentioned before in a past post, using the Master SPI Bus Engine
tool is a great way to learn how to use the SPI command set for MMC/SD flash
modules before you commit to PIC code (especially if you have not worked
with MMC/SD flash modules before). It sure saved me a lot of time when I was
playing with a MMC module in the past, because you completely avoid the
low-level "coding, compiling, programming the PIC, and testing" development
cycle at the PIC level. When you become comfortable with the MMC/SD SPI
command set using the Master SPI Bus Engine, it then makes it easier to
develop your low-level PIC code.
