Unfortunately that is not the case. To be honest I'm not certain in exactly what way DirectCD does it's thing, all I know is I had terrible compatibility with it (above my other problems). Although they "say" they are closing it in ISO9660 I still couldn't get the disk to work reliably in other machines. Some wouldn't see anything, others would see everything but wouldn't be able to read reliably. This was with multiple computers and two different burners. Personally, I used DVD-RAM for "floppy disk" type purposes these days, and DVD-R for archiving.
