Lapaic is also my preferred source. The "simple" RF links are super easy to use, but I've never used anything stronger than those. What goes in on one end comes out on the other, without much other setup required. The trasmitters are tiny, and the range is decent. I found there is a ton of crap on that band, so it is imperative to have some sort of handshaking protocol to avoid picking up whatever is floating around out there.
