There are a number of CD formats supported by most Windoze based CD burning programs. Most will burn ISO 9660 format which most Macs can read. There are also Joliet and Romeo formats. More recent drives/software also support UDF which is apparently a little more standard across operating systems, but not likely readable on earlier Macs. My Linux boxes seem to have no problem with any of these formats, so they apparently aren't any sort of a secret. --McD ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jinx" To: Sent: Monday, April 12, 2004 10:04 PM Subject: Re: [OT:] (How) Can a Mac read Win CDs ? > > what version of OS is he running? > > if its pre OS-X take a look at > > http://www.tempel.org/joliet/ > > might help > > > > though its meant to come up in 8.3 format > > > > how old is the drive? can it read other similar cds (IE burnt, > > possibly multisesssion etc) > > Sorry, I've now asked him those questions.
