I think in the midst of all that having fun even you may have lost track of how holidays work in these less enlightened countries :-). Workers still get the money - they just don't get the fun of working at the same time. They can even use the time not working to do something else that makes money. I suspect that if this was explained to them they would be all for the concept. Maybe not. > Me and my staff have > packed a $US20,000 order the last 4 days. That, to me, is fun. I understand the concept of work as fun well enough. Also the concept as fun as work. Or perhaps really the concept of all of life being ideally one big happy mix. However, if you are tied, as some seem to be, to a job that is less than one's ideal, then getting some time to do other things that one would rather do sounds like a good idea. The obvious thing to do is to have a job that is so compelling that they have to drag you away kicking and screaming to eat and sleep. > I'm off tomorrow for another week in North Korea. Now that will be 'fun'. Carry your bags ? :-) I agree - I'd love to spend a while in North Korea. Not too long perhaps, but it would be a fascinating place to have a look around. Turkmenistan sounds pretty interesting to, but I may not get there this lifetime. I've been within about 6 miles of it (and I'm sure they would have insisted I was IN it) but it's not quite the same. I have some interesting photos of the Karkouram desert and the Merv oasis. Jumbo windows are not condicive to fine photography but Merv was one of the top most fascinating sights I've ever seen.
