Determinism is defined "The philosophical doctrine that every state of affairs, including every human event, act, and decision is the inevitable consequence of antecedent states of affairs." In relation to scheduling, deterministic typically means that if you were given a number of previous actions then you can predict 100% the next action the scheduler will take.
