But there is no such logic (that is 100%) in the current product line.
The 12F are 14bits...
So the 10F could very well (using the same "logic") be 12 (or 14?) bits.

And why make a new chip using the old 12-bit core ? A 14-bit core would
make the 10F series more like the 12F series.

Note that I actualy havn't worked with the 12-bit core, just heard
some thing about it beeing "older" and "harder" to use...
