With their "eBay stores" and "Buy-it-now" "auctions", eBay has branched
out to fill the niche of "online storefront" at the low-end of that
business environment, in addition to pure "auctions."  I think it's
great; eBay is one of the few companies I've seen continually trying
new things, most of which seem to be well thought-out and pretty good
ideas.

I've never seen an automatic "sniping feature" at eBay itself, but I
don't doubt that one or more of the "auction add-on" sites provides
such a capability...
