Maybe eBay USA/UK are different? > David... David, That's normal behavior. Autobid will only raise the bid to a point where you are the winning bidder, not your max bid. If someone else comes along and bid later, Autobid will continue to try to make you the winner up to your maximum bid. I think Alan was trying to portray this in a positive light, but I think the word "scheme" gave it the wrong connotation.
