Hey all, My olimex ICD2 stopped responding to the computer the other day. It acts the same plugged in, as if it's not connected to a power source (wall ac adapter). I had a PIC connected via the ICP connector to the programmer, and I think I hooked a +5v power supply source to the gnd pin on the chip, and gnd to the Vdd pin on the chip. I would hope that the programmer would be somehow isolated from this and just the PIC would fry, but is this incorrect? The voltage regulator on the programmer gets rediculously hot now (I don't recall it getting this hot before.) As in it melted some skin on my middle finger when i accidentally touched the heatsink of the regulator.. What component is likely to fry in this situation, and is it an easy repair?
