Sold the fascia, kept the LCD and motherboard :) The Nokia 3310 LCDs can be soldered to - use very fine solder, a 1mm soldering bit and - most importantly - apply heat for the shortest time possible. Make sure you let the display cool down after you've soldered to the pin. IME, 0.05in IDC cable is just about the right pitch for these displays. Avoid the 3210 LCDs - they use a rubber elastomer connector that's incredibly unreliable. You'd also need to etch a PCB to connect to them.
