SUMMARY People wanting to be added to photo mailing list read below. _________________________________________________________________ This should really be OT bit as it was posted with this tag I'll reply here as a oncer. Any comments onlist should have OT tag. > >You travelled for two months, took 44000 photos (733 > >photos/day or 1.03/minute considering 16 hours active time per > >day), 1MB each (44MB of raw jpeg pictures total), 1833 > >photos/country visited ? Wow. WOW. ;-) > > > >Peter > > That's 44GB! I suspect an extra zero may have slipped in at some stage... No - the zeros slipped out - it was indeed 44 GB :-) Many pictures are of little interest to most people (but all are of interest to me as they provide a nearly continuous trail of where we went and what we saw). Buildings, footpaths, signs, transformers, bill boards, highways, road markings, power lines, cobble stones, bridges..... . Also the more normal cathedrals, towers, people, cities, scenery galore (meteor crater, grand canyon, Yosemite, SF, LA, Paris, Pisa, Switzerland, Prague, Geneva, .........), castles, monuments, ruins, .... . July 4th in Vegas. Bastille day in Paris. Festival in Edinburgh etc. Also lots of food shots, supermarket & shop shelves etc :-). Most of the more mundane would not be included in anything I sent to people. I'm presently sending out two emails approximately daily to anyone interested with SELECTED pictures of interest (perhaps with a slight engineers bias). Anyone interested is welcome to receive them. (This started as an offering to family and friends but there are now more PICListers on the lists than F&F.) If interested in receiving emails reply ******OFFLIST****** with first line in reply of: RANDOM PHOTOS for about 150kB to 200 kB emails of pictures cut down to suit size. The 1st photo of each email is often chosen from random offerings from my screen saver which presents a random picture every 5 seconds. I may add some related ones and some related text if the moods there. Want to try to keep time taken to a minimum as I'm far far far too easily distracted :-) or BIG PHOTOS for about 1 MB (could be up to 2MB perhaps) emails with pictures at or close to original size. People asking for BIG PHOTOS will also receive RANDOM PHOTOS (unless they ask not to). Photos selected will usually be different. BIG PHOTOS will generally be pictures where the content makes a full 2500 x 1500, 5 megapixel image more worthwhile. You can ask to be taken off distribution at any time. email addresses not disclosed to anyone else.
