HI-TECH PICC and PIC18 also has full (well, almost full) demo versions
available. The compiler has some delays, some commandline options are
missing and you don=92t get the source to the libraries.

Nah, Microchip C18 is free. Just download the 'evaluation version' and
install it. When it konks-out in 60 days time, just install it again.
