If you can use a low side switch you can employ any switching transistor meant for TV LOPT drive. Just keep in mind that these have low gain (~=20 at best) and that you want to close them firmly (pull base to ground real hard or use active pulldown able to sink current at Vo = GND). Having that many LEDs in series invites disaster imho. One failed LED or soldering and the whole string is dark.
