If you can use a low side switch you can employ any switching transistor
meant for TV LOPT drive. Just keep in mind that these have low gain (~=20
at best) and that you want to close them firmly (pull base to ground real
hard or use active pulldown able to sink current at Vo = GND).

Having that many LEDs in series invites disaster imho. One failed LED or
soldering and the whole string is dark. The good side is, you can probably
spot the bad spot from sparking in the dark at that voltage ;-)
