Hi Mauricio and fair question: I have several reasons that I'm not willing to defend against: 1) That's how I feel today. Tomorrow may be different. 2) Because I question the motives on the 'everything for free' mantra. 3) This is such a simple project that anyone can write their own version to suit their taste. All it takes is time, and after all, it's only ones and zeros. 4) I would not even consider releasing source code on version 'v1.0.0' of anything. I have not found any problems thus far, but I would not want to have multiple versions floating out there. If I were to release anything, I would want it proved out first to ensure the greatest stability. 5) I would like to have control over the source. If people start making mods then it becomes a mess real quickly. I should not have to answer questions or spend my time on mods that other people have done. My time is valuable to me. 6) The source as it stands right now is not up to my standards in terms of 'C language best practices' department. I sometimes code a bit differently for personal projects than I do with projects for an employer. Since this was coded for the PICC-Lite compiler, there was a lot of frequent changes to fit into 2048 words of code spaces. The function header documentation suffered in this regard. It's more of making the comments and documentation 'pretty' things than re-working actual C code (I've used 2047 out of 2048 words). 7) I've recently had a dishonest person not pay me the shipping cost on my 'Free PICs to a good home' offer I sent them a while ago and my trust factor has not been restored to my 100% naive self yet. I admit some of this is tongue-and-cheek; anyone who knows me personally knows that I am a shankster so you have to take me with a grain of salt.
