That would do it. Do you know of the numbers for a fast 5V CMOS multiple
AND gate? Or where I can look such up.

Forgive me, but it's been over 25 years since I've had to explicitly
look at actual gates, being more of a programmer.

My first solution was just to bit-bang the SPI.
