What are the correct IC sockets to use for an 18 pin DIP-package PIC
like the 16F84A/16F88? Would the same socket type be true of the 40 pin
16F877/877A in the DIP package?

For my 18 pin PICs I'm using a Jim-Pak 18LPD "18-pin Low Profile Solder
Tail IC Socket (Dual Wipe) Tin Plated Sockets". I'm wondering if dual
wipe IC sockets are really the right kind.
