I'm getting stock to cover existing projects but since I've got to qualify a new part anyways, I'd like to find one that can handle more than 10V input. One project uses a 3 cell Li-poly battery pack but the micro is asleep 95% of the time, with the processor & indicators consuming about 6 mA during the wake cycle. The TC55 series doesn't like a 3 cell Li-poly supply but a LP2950 kills the battery stone cold dead after a couple of weeks even when the system is turned off and sitting idle. That 75uA quiescent is a real battery killer if the regulator is powered all the time like it is in this project. Someone mentioned the Holtek series and I know that there are others out there as well. dwayne -- Dwayne Reid Trinity Electronics Systems Ltd Edmonton, AB, CANADA (780) 489-3199 voice (780) 487-6397 fax Celebrating 20 years of Engineering Innovation (1984 - 2004) .-. .-. .-. .-. .-. .-. .-. .-. .-. .- `-' `-' `-' `-' `-' `-' `-' `-' `-' Do NOT send unsolicited commercial email to this email address.
