>I need to select a standard easily obtainable logic-level >MOSFET to switch a bank of Infrared LED's (max current >0.8 amp) from a PIC18F452. I don't know a huge amount about >MOSFETs, and the choice available from RS (rswww.com) is >bewildering. Could someone tell me what the commonly used >MOSFET parts are? (Like a 2N3055 was in the bipolar days) Check out RS 198-4195, Philips PHN210 dual logic level MOSFET in SO-8 package. I selected this on the basis of cheap price when looking for such a device, but have not yet got around to using it. Another trick with this package is that many manufacturers make devices with the same pinout, so you are not single source tied if things go belly up with a manufacturer. -- http://www.piclist.com hint: To leave the PICList mailto:piclist-unsubscribe-request@mitvma.mit.edu
