Although I will probably be using OS/2 for quite some time, I'm
interested in a Linux version of my XWisp2 too!  I made an attempt to
prepare the sources myself (separating the platform-dependent code from
the 'independent' code). You might start helping by having a look at the
sources. When Jan-Erik has something running for W* I'll try to combine
his and my efforts, and maybe later yours.....
