> And, is there a pic available which is powerful enough (re-tagged) Hi Arron, good news is any PIC has the processing power to do want you need to do. Anything in the 16 or 18 series is a candidate Here's the Microchip linecard for Flash micros http://asp.microchip.com/wwwParamChart/chart.aspx?branchID=1005&mid=&gdir=10 10 Obviously the bigger ones have more I/O, which makes circuits more compact but using hardware techniques you can use smaller PICs and multiplex their I/O. However, the smaller the PIC, generally the resources inside (RAM, ROM, EEPROM) are smaller, so using a low-end one (for example going right down to a 12 series) may not be economic, vis a vis extra hardware and programming time, in the long term, even though you could build your project around one Filling in a few blanks will help - How much RAM do you need ? How much EEPROM ? Do you have a budget to work to ? Do you have a programmer ? -- http://www.piclist.com hint: To leave the PICList mailto:piclist-unsubscribe-request@mitvma.mit.edu
