I4m working with a Laipac module (Sirf chipset). Currently parsing messages and working proper init strings. It connects via two RS232 TTL levels, with two protocols available: a NMEA option and a Sirf propietary one. I have no objections, although datasheet is not the best. There is a demo program, to evaluate the performance with a PC. Quite useful. This module also has a battery backup, and and active antenna.
