Well if you work things right, and purchase the Picdem2 Plus under the Microchip ordering code DV164006, then it comes complete with a free ICD2 and power supply. :) The Picdem2 Plus has an LCD, which seems to be the difference between it and the Picdem2. It also comes with a 16F series and an 18F series chip with the demo programs in them. The supplied chips are 20 pin, and there are 28 and 18 pin sockets as well. These seem to be features of all the current Picdem kits as far as I can see from the documentation.
