Hi I use different method similar to factory method I do not use solder or iron I use water soluble solder paste and sharp nose heat gun. 1. I put little amount of glue in center of the foot print to hold the part then I align the part 2. I apply solder paste with small brash that way I do not put too much 3. I use heat gun after about a minute or so solder pate turns in to real solder 4. I apply water soluble liquid flux and I reheat just to be sure about connections 5. I wash the board with de ionized water 6. I use heat gun on low temp to dry the board. I never had any problem and the result is excellent.
