The 5730 was obsoleted but apparently so many people complained that they continued to make them for a while. But the end is near... I think in general (to answer someone who mentioned that OSD's are in everything) that the OSD function has probably been absorbed by big do-everything chips for consumer stuff. One device recently brought to our attention is the Mitsubishi (maybe "Renesas" now...) series, one of which is M35060. Google for it and you can find several variants. It looks promising.
