More people are living longer, so more people are getting Alzheimers. If you live long enough, all sorts of bad things happen, so I wouldn't worry about aluminum from CD's (or soda cans, for that matter). Another example, few people talk about oxygen being a carcinogen, but it is. Free radicals can cause cancer when they react with DNA, that's why there are some 20,000 cancer cells in everyone's body at a given time. After a while, the immune system doesn't work as well at stopping them, and some people get cancer from that.
